Congrats to the winners! I didn't expect to win, but what does the top picture have to do with winter?

It is the christmas tram of Budapest. And yes, there is not much snow around it, but this year we saw a dry christmas. But now, at the end of march, we have more snow than we can handle.
I also have my favorites of the contest, like Mountain landscape by acVision.

Actually, while I saw Christmas in PhilESieve's picture, it's been hard for me to recall the winter while looking at the other two winning photos.
But the description helped me to understand the interpretation of the authors:
Dreams sowed as snowflakes (Timothy C. Flood)
and
Saturnia Hot Springs photographed in winter (Nick Saglimbeni).
