To make it easier for administration at Phereo - why not let us flag "adult content" - you could add the option to the drop-down list which specifies whether the image is public or private.

Probably because (some of) the people who would need to use the flag might not...just for laughs.

Someone always spoils it for everyone else. Yesterday I was walking my dog and a woman came along and her dog was not on a lead and didn't even have a collar. So the two dogs fight. Completely avoidable. Her dog is supposed to be on a leash. Then after this is over....about 50 metres along the path....her dog had left a great steaming turd right in the middle of the path...and she had not picked it up as she is supposed to.

People like that ruin <whatever> for the rest of us. A**holes. Phereo cannot trust (all of) us to be responsible. There will always be a**holes. To make it more complicated......we all have days when we are a**holes....even if we aren't generally like that. :-)

Then Phereo should let the community handle it, by popular vote or something, with some minor administration! Active community members would be here because they like taking pictures, so when there's enough people that agree a picture is, for example, "adult content" then it should be set as such.

I don't want to say "obviously there should be a limit on what constitutes 'adult content' " but as long as it's actually artistic and not just "hey look, 3d titties and porn!" it should be ok. Trust the community if the community is art enthusiasts!

EDIT:: Oh yeah, suggestion thread, forgot to add mine when I got here. I know how to cross my eyes and look at 3d pictures on a 2d screen, but it doesn't help when the aspect ratio of the original photo is ruined by squashing to fit both pictures on-screen. Please make it so that when we hit "3d tv" it keeps the aspect ratio of the original picture!
EDIT 2:: Granted, I don't know what the reasoning is for why the "3d tv" option eats the aspect ratio and the "parallel" option doesn't.

@Phereo team.

Can you please add to the "Phereo.com" title in the forums' header a link to, well, phereo.com?

Thanks!

Hi!

I have just posted a lot of images, and I don't want to spam the "Latest" feed on the amin page, so I switched pictures to "by the link" status. But I want to share the folder on facebook, and not single pictures. Is there a way to set the album to "by the lnk" status? It is more than 300 images, so if i turn it to "public" it will flood the "latest" pages...

Thanks
Tamas

Hi, Tamas!

Sorry, but now is not possible to set the privacy for the albums.

We solved the issue with a lot of uploaded images in one day from one user as follows: in the category of "Latest Upload" shows only the first three images from a queue, all the others are not visible. But it implemented only on the NVIDIA site (http://photos.3dvisionlive.com/). Maybe soon this feature will be implemented and on the Phereo also.

Hi, Bulkinav!

Thanks for the answer!
In this case, I will slowly set images to "public". Just a few at a time.

Hi there,

Although I am still trying to sort out bugs, I already have a few things in mind.

Let me just start with my obsession about image quality and sharpness. Resizing images horribly mutilates them unless the resizing algorithm compensates it. When I upload my images they become much smaller on the preview window and very very soft. I know I could control post-resize sharpness in my smugmug acc, so it's possible to do on web and I'd really love to see that feature that makes photos look far more professional, sharper, and clearer. That's one part of the problem. The other issue happens at full-screen mode. Phereo simply up-sizes the image to full screen. I noticed that nvidia 3d vision makes a much smarter move: the image is scaled to its maximum size. So, if it's smaller than the full screen, the image maintains perfect quality and no compression artifacts and 3d in on.

I spend 3-4 hours to produce one stereo image, which is quite a lot of time. And I do so to make out everything possible quality wise. (I do focus staking, which is why I need all this work). And it makes me a bit frustrated that all this effort is for nothing when it comes to web display, which turns the images into something that looks like quick smartphone shots=( I know that for small previews I could upload smaller mpo files, but that makes the images worse full-screen.

So overall, more display customizations wanted. Any chance for that in the future?
p.s. otherwise (and also excluding the fact that I have difficulties uploading) I am loving the idea of the website. It has a great future and I'm totally in. Ordering the glass-free 3d tablet soon )

Hi!

Thank you for the deep insight and a useful feedback. We appreciate the attention you pay to our website.

This is really an issue for some images, it is caused by the fact that there is a lot of supported input/output file types requiring multiple file conversion.
We are striving towards cycle improvement, there already has been a few major updates this year (especially for interlaced and anaglyph modes).
Also, there are a few image processing improvements on the way in months to come.

As we store the original uploaded files, you do not need top re-upload them, already uploaded images will improve visual quality automatically in accordance with our releases.

Here, at Phereo we are constanly striving towards impovement and andvancement.

Meanwhile, you might not have to order a glasses-free tablet as there are three of those as prizes in our swimsuit contest!
Read the full rules here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=166&p=682#p682 and enter the competition.
Kind regards,
Nick Murashov

Phereo team.
