I can dream,
I love my VR gear from samsung, any chance a of a vr port?
VR is perfect for 3d no cross talk and it simulates a mega screen.

I have a Gear VR, too.

There is an "Oculus Rift" mode in the web version of the site that should / could work. The Gear VR uses Oculus software.

I haven't tried it, but will.

I note the Phereo app has a "Google Cardboard" 3D setting. Try that. (I'm not sure how one would invoke it....with the Gear VR on).

Late update to this thread, I got my Gear VR this week and was amazed there is no stereoscopic photo viewer out of the box.

I couldn't get Phereo to work in the Samsung Internet app, you just see the side by side image, even in Oculous Rift / full screen modes.

I got the Phereo app working by using a Package Disabler app to temporarily stop 'Gear VR service' from running. You can then start Phereo (Cardboard mode, scrolling by Swipe), go to the photos you want to view, dock your phone into the Gear VR and see the photos in 3D, using the Gear VR controls to move between photos. I would say, however, that the photos are quite squashed, making them tall and thin, which can look a bit odd with some images.

Hope this helps

I've been able to see my 3D photos in my gear VR. They work very well. I forget which app. I'll have a look and see if i can recall how I did it.

As for the samsung web browser, it is possible to watch 3D videos on YouTube.....so at the very least we could try making a video slideshow of the stereo 3D images and then looking at them in YT.

But I think one of the image viewing apps allowed me to see my images in 3D. "Oculus Photo" maybe?

Anyway.....I'll check.

I worked it out.

Assumptions:
1. You're on the latest version (as of April 16, 2016) of the Samsung Internet Browser for the Gear VR.
2. You've got the phone in the headet and you have opened the Samsung Internet Browser in the VR headset.

1. Go the phereo.com.
2. Login. (to be able to enter both user and password before hitting "enter", click on "close" at bottom right to close the keyboard after entering your userid, to get back to the login dialog so you can enter your password).
3. Choose an image. Open it as "parallel"
4. Choose "3D TV" format at upper right. The screen updates.....
5. Click on "Mode" (upper left - it may fade - click on the image to make it re-appear). Select "3D SBS" from among the several modes.

The image should be presented almost perfectly.

Oculus Mode really only works for VR images that are also fish-eyed (180degree or 360 degree in 3D).....which almost none of ours are.

The browser is clumsy.....but used like this, it works.
