"Winter Tales" contest Northern hemisphere only?

The "Winter Tales" contest appears to only be for people who live north of about 32 degrees north latitude. Anyone from Tampa Florida to bottom of South America won't be seeing anything remotely like "winter". :-)

For anyone south of the equator, it's actually summer time now. I'm in Auckland and our longest day of the year is December 22nd....and we'll probably be at the beach.

Phereo is headquatered in St. Petersburg, Russia - which is on the 60th N lattitude - at the moment there's a LOT of snow there and almost no daytime ))) From that prospective your photo from the beach might stand out and win ;) Has anyone seen Santa swimming?

OK! I'll see what I can do. Santa. Sunshine. Surfing. "Winter" stuff. :-)
