Camera pair for 3D?

Postby linuxluver » Sat Dec 13, 2014 11:00 am

Can anyone suggest a camera that can be paired with a second identical camera and the two shutters synchronized?

Ideally, a model for which there is a "sync shepherd" available either from the manufacturer or a 3rd party.

I'd like to make higher resolution 3D images, but cha-cha is quite limiting as it can really only be used for completely static subjects.

Two DSLRs with a remote shutter release?

Or even many point & shoots can have their firmwares upgraded. The USB connection can be used as a shutter release.

Almost any Canon Powershot camera using SPM. StereoPhoto Maker is free software, and there is a list of cameras available that are compatible with it.
